A 44-year-old man has been arrested in connection with Peel Region's latest murder.
Emergency crews called to a rooming house on Shallford Rd. in Malton found 43-year-old Keith Shortridge suffering from serious injuries Monday evening. He died in hospital a short time later. Several people present in the rooming house at the time of the altercation between Shortridge and his attacker were taken into custody for questioning, though no charges were laid.
Homicide investigators have since arrested Romeo Kanhai of Mississauga and charged him with second-degree murder. He was scheduled for a brief court appearance today, at which time he was expected to be remanded into custody.

Although they do not really know what caused this murder, it is still very serious. Killing another person is very severe, and disgusting. The government has to crack down on violence, there are so many more murders now a day. Not saying that the government can stop from murders but they can definetly cut down on gun violence.
